Jacob had a dream: a stairway rested on the ground, with
its top reaching to the heavens; and God’s messengers were going up and down on
it. And there was the Lord standing beside him and saying: “I, the Lord, am the
God of your forefather Abraham and the God of Isaac.”

Our Father…
Prayer
God our Father, in a wonderful way you guide the work of
angels and men. May those who serve you constantly in heaven keep our lives
safe from all harm on earth. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your
son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and
ever.
